Project scope:
Removal and disposal of redundant storage containers. B.D.B undertook the removal and disposal off site of two redundant storage containers. The project involved crane operations and loading the containers to transport for size reduction and recycling off site.
Recycling:
The metals within the containers were certified as Free Release/Exempt Material and as such were processed and re-smelted.
Health & Safety:
B.D.B met the strict requirements of operating within the industry, supplying a project specific Safe System of Work in the form of control documentation, audit procedures, communication infrastructure to meet and exceed statutory requirements under the HASAWA 1979, Management of Health and Safety at Work Regulations 1999, HSG65 and the Construction (Design and Management) Regulation 2007.
Waste Traceability:
Strict control measures in place within the industry associated to routes of traceability for wastes were met, environmental standards associated to recycling of materials were addressed and complete and in depth documentation was provided to ensure industry and statutory requirements were adhered to
