The dismantling of a sunken wooden fishing vessel to allow the re-use of the dock facility.
Project Assessment
A full project evaluation was undertaken to allow for project and site specific risk assessments to be carried out. These addressed such issues as the crushing and pulling capabilities of a 50 tonne machine mounted on a floating work platform. Site and project specific method statements were developed for the client’s review and comment to address such issues.
Actions Taken
B.D.B provided a machine capable of wrecking, breaking and processing the sunken vessel into sections small enough for retrieval.
